Crawford graduates are among Ireland’s top artists and art teachers. Studying at the Crawford is a challenging and rewarding experience, which we hope you will enjoy. Cork has a long and distinguished connection to the visual arts, with many artists living and working in Cork city and county. Many of these artists are graduates of the Crawford College of Art & Design who have sustained links to the College, and make the city a very vibrant artistic community.
The CIT Crawford College of Art & Design strives to continue such vibrancy and this long-established college offers well recognised courses in Fine Art, Ceramic Design, Art Therapy and Art & Design Education, with facilities for 300 students. Facilities include studios with personal work spaces for all students, and well-equipped workshops including ceramics, metal and wood fabrication, stone and wood carving, foundry, photography, film and video, computers, etching, lithography, silk screen and relief printmaking, textiles and stained glass.
