CIT Cork School of Music
CIT Cork School of Music is a constituent school of CIT and provides an Honours Bachelor of Music Degree, Honours Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Drama Studies, and a taught Master of Arts in Music; and has research students studying for MA and PhD Degrees. The school has many award-winning bands, chamber music ensembles, choirs, drama groups, opera groups, and orchestras – with the senior ones undertaking extensive national and international tours, broadcasting, and making commercial recordings. The new building for the CIT Cork School of Music was opened in September 2007, and its facilities are recognised as among the finest in the world. In its two state-of-the-art performance spaces, the Curtis Auditorium and Stack Theatre, the school presents regular public performances and concerts by students, staff and invited performers, and you are always welcome to visit.
